The East Greenbush Community Library welcomes any persons interested in running for the office of library trustee to pick up a packet at or after the board's meeting Tuesday, June 19. The Board has three terms opening in January 2008, one for three years to finish up a term in 2010 and two regular five-year terms to finish in 2012.
Trustee candidates must live within the boundaries of East Greenbush, and need 25 signatures from voters in East Greenbush to enter their name on the ballot.
All signatures on the petition and the packet must be turned in to the library director by Tuesday, August 7 at 5 p.m. For information call the library, 477-7476.

Friends Spring Book Sale
Special pricing for the Thursday Preview Sale only with hardbound copies selling for $2.00 and quality bound paper for $1.00. Regular pricing resumes Friday, May 4. Bag Sale pricing on May 6 is $2.00 a bag.
Donations of used books, records, audios/videos and DVDs are being accepted now at the library. NO textbooks please.
Please note: This sale does NOT include any children's books or media. There will be a Children's Sale in September.

In upcoming library newsletters, we'd like to feature your reviews of books, audiobooks or videos you've recently borrowed from the library in a column called "Patron's Picks." You can submit your reviews in person at the library (forms will be available at the reference desk) or via e-mail to JoAnn Jakiela ( jakiela@uhls.lib.ny.us ). Be sure to include your name, the title and author of the work and a brief review (no more than 4-5 sentences.)
